White Anniversary Party by The Beach

Thirty five years of marriage is indeed worthy of a big, beautiful celebration. For Rosyana and George, that entailed an all white tropical dinner bathed in lace and roses with their nearest and dearest. Using elements that held special meaning for the couple, designers Flying Bride and Tea Rose crafted a dream of an anniversary twinkling with candlelight. See it all shot byAngga Permana in THE VAULT.

George and Rosyana has been together for 35 years which tells more about love than words can describe, and it is worthy of a celebration.

Rosyana’s favorite color is white as she likes how clean and elegant the color is. Hence, white was the main color for their wedding anniversary which created a clean and elegant ambience that Rosyana loves. As she particularly loves the traditional Uluwatu lace, all the female guests came in white Uluwatu dress, and we also incorporated Uluwatu lace on the table runner, embroidered on the napkin, umbrellas, and even on the fan which was given as souvenir to each guest.

Further, since Rosyana loves roses and her name comes from the word “Rose”, we used various roses such as David Austen Rose, Ecuador Rose, and Baby Roses in the flower arrangement. However, instead of having just the white flowers, we wanted to show some leaves and stems to represent George’s passion about medicinal herbs & gardening. That being said, the overall ambience was still modern and elegant.

An interesting touch we added was since George is the head of Indonesian Reptile and Amphibian Trade Association, and Rosyana is the founder of Vielta, a well-known brand for snake skin bags in South Korea, we used snake skin pattern in the welcome hampers that brings forth that exotic and elegant feel to the celebration.

It was definitely a special and intimate night spent with their dearest family and people who are closest to George & Rosyana’s heart. To create such warm and intimate ambience, we also used lots of candles with hints of Gold in the color palette.

Last but not least, a personal touch was added which became a favorite. As the groom loves reading the newspaper, we created a special newspaper which outlined the love story and various facts about the couple.

Miss Indonesia’s Rustic Glam Bali Wedding

Not only is this former Miss Indonesia as beautiful as they come, but she’s got a wedding that’ll give us all a serious case of envy. Glam yet rustic, lavish yet refined, there’s a million and one reasons to go ahead and “favorite” this dream day starting with that flower coated ceremony captured by Angga Permana Photo and Bali Metro. Treat yo’ self to this gallery plus eye candy galore in THE VAULT.

From Angga Permana Photo… The wedding of this beautiful former Miss Indonesia is truly dreamy and divine to say the least. Inviting four hundred guests to their nuptial in Bali, Vania and Wilson exchanged their earnest vows in Alila Villas Uluwatu, under the shade of lavish greens, colourful flowers and rustic trees. Vania looked stunning in a strapless white gown, while Wilson put on a perfectly-tailored black suit to match. The two also performed the unity sand ceremony, simultaneously pouring sand into a same container, as a symbol of their union.

The ceremony takes you into a more rustic-feeling space. The tables are adorned with organic greens with flowers to balance and not to mention the lovely wood coloured elements along with gleaming lanterns and candles. Taking a different approach, the husband and wife stepped into the site singing a duet of Journey’s “Faithfully” that really impressed their guests. Everyone seemed to have a great time and you can feel the lovely vibe emanate from the pictures.

Romantic Beachside Bali Wedding

A beachside wedding in Bali; it doesn’t get more romantic than this right here. But when the affair is overflowing with florals from Jonquilla Decor & Florist it surpasses expectations even more. Venema Pictures captured it all, from start to finish, and this gallery is what dreams are made of m’dears.

Beach Resort

From Jonquilla Decor & FloristKartika and Stefan have the most supporting family that helped with the wedding planning since they are occupied with work and travel. We met through a previous client’s recommendation and when we met, we went through all details she liked and she didn’t like; we like when brides tell us their expected style, it helps us understand easier and faster! They chose pink and a little fuchsia for their theme color. A play with bronze makes the color pops and you can’t go wrong with a wedding with the beach as the background. Gold tiffany chairs helped to bring out the elegance of the affair and the tulips created an effortless look.

From the Bride... I guess the most beautiful things happened when you least expected it. We met in 2005 when studying at Studienkolleg and I happened to take a fancy on Stefan and innocently decided to tell a friend. Accidentally, that particular friend passed on the news to Stefan and he came to me to express his mutual liking on me. Turned out, he had all these feelings for me but was just waiting for the right time to make a move.

We were dating long distance for seven years, between Germany, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and finally Singapore and Jakarta for education and work placement. Even when we began dating, we were already a distanced apart, nevertheless, it was worth a try and we continued to have faith in it. A lot of friends asked what made this relationship work, despite only going out for real dates whenever we could, every two months or so. Without God’s grace and His love, we could not do it. Throughout our relationship, we maintained an honest and open communication, trust and keep on having fun with each other.

Stefan is always romantic in his own way and in the most unpredictable manner. Talk about us getting married did not come out of a sudden. After dating for several years, we both knew that we wanted to enjoy each others’ companion and grow old together. But just like any other couple, we had to prepare A-Z to be ready for a legal and eternal commitment. One day after a couple’s church retreat, at the last session of it, our mentor gave an instruction for us to write a love letter. When he handed out the letter to me, Stefan’s love letter was a marriage proposal. He was down on his knees and asked me to marry him.

The next big thing after he popped the question was for both our parents to meet. We grew up close with our families and we wanted them to be friendly and treat each other as part of the bigger whole family. For the wedding, we chose Bali, the most romantic island for a destination wedding to have an intimate celebration. We wanted it to be celebrated with people who matter to us. We chose the long table-set up rather than the round table to make it more intimate.

My mother-in-law helped with most of the wedding and I am beyond blessed to have her as a new family member. She is caring, generous and throughout the wedding planning I felt I got to know her more and I begin to love her as my own mother. The wedding planning came easy as we met vendors who were experienced, resourceful and reliable.

Everything that happened during our wedding etched a beautiful memory. My bridesmaid made a wonderful speech during the wedding and she advised how Stefan should be aware of some qualities of me. Just like most brides, I was nervous minutes before the ceremony, and with some cheers from my bridesmaid, I felt confident minutes before walking down the aisle.

We were shy to have our first dance and be the center of attention. So instead of a first dance, we danced together with the guests and threw the bouquet after a song. It was a simple and beautiful night for us. We felt the warmth and love from our friends and family members who simply made the effort to attend and celebrate it with us.

Whimsical Bali Wedding Inspiration

I have yet to experience Bali firsthand, but one look at the poetic editorial photojournalism from Le Secret D’Audrey and I’m instantly transported. Polished, refined, romantic and luxurious, every detail Paper Diamonds orchestrated is an ode to the beautiful island and you can see them all in the gallery!

From Paper Diamonds… Shooting with Audrey was a dream come true. Her ability to cross high fashion editorial with poetic, romantic photojournalism is so unique and definitely dictated my direction for decor. I wanted something polished, refined, romantic and luxurious, and ode to her images.

The ghost chairs became the centre point of the theme, using that as a base to build on I then stuck to a neutral palette with pastel greys accented with deep greens. I tried to play with multiple textures that complement each other gently such as the tulle overlay with cotton paper stationery. I used items from our growing inventory of unique, authentically vintage one-off pieces such as the silver platters and our new gold cutlery set for that pop of colour. But oh, those ghost chairs. J’adore.

The Ali Charisma gown is a one-of-a-kind and I loved how he used the flower detailing on top of that netting in all the right places. Ashley fit perfectly in it and she seemed to effortlessly showcase the details. A dress for the wild at heart.

The stationery is also, custom handwritten/drawn pieces from Emily in Perth, Australia. Her geometric patterns could have seemed lost amongst all the straight lights but it added just the perfect amount of whimsy.

Gita from butter had free reign with design on this one, I told her the mood, showed her a few references and she created such a beautiful two tier cake with contrasting layers. Similarly to my table decor, the layers were different textures yet they seemed to just belong with one another.

Yeanne’s team member on hair & make-up. The brief was simple, give me “runway”. She is a brave bride. She is confident and she can definitely work a strong pouf.

Balion provided us with the perfect Bali setting. Nothing is more luxury Bali then a manicured tropical garden right next to the beach. Villa Shalimar’s gardens can host the perfect wedding setting under a Bali sky and the black volcanic sand beach is a unique and special part of the North-West Canggu coastline.

I am so grateful and so truly proud to have been able to work with such an amazing photographer and I am grateful to have exercised my wings on a new and beautiful style. I hope you like.
