A Moody, Fall Wedding on the Amalfi Coast
A fall wedding on Italy's Amalfi Coast with a moody, autumn-themed color palette and an epic floral arch for the ceremony.
I went to the Amalfi Coast as a college student, and I'm pretty sure all my travel dreams came true right then and there. It's easily the most romantic spot on earth, so it's no wonder that's where Caroline and Sebastian chose to say I Do. With less than three months to plan, Exclusive Italy Weddings came on boards to orchestrated the event and Flower Addicted designed incredible blooms you have to see, with more inside the gallery captured by Nancy Ebert.

From Laura of Exclusive Italy Weddings... August, crazy hot day, I am back in the office after coordinating a wonderful wedding that filled me with joy (and pride!) when the phone rings: a sweet voice tells me all about the wedding plans she and her fiancée have and cheers me up even more. Caroline, the bride, is very attentive to style and design, and wants to organize a truly personalized event in the Amalfi Coast, planned down to the very last detail. I am also very attentive to details and I immediately understand how she envisions the event and the style she wants. The biggest challenge? Her event is less than three months away! But I love challenges, and I particularly loved this one!

The inspiration for the wedding is a very romantic mood, a country chic style mixed with elements representing Italian traditions and its historical heritage. The floral decorations - superbly realized by Flower Addicted – are a feast of romantic flowers in ancient amphorae.

For the ceremony, Flower Addicted built a gorgeous flower arch set between two old olive trees, filled with hundreds of pastel flowers: white lisianthus, pink garden roses, dahlias… The aisle was lined with white terracotta vases filled with the same flowers in hues of white and pale pink. These delicate tones complemented perfectly the outdoor setting surrounded by the blue sky and sea.

The long reception table was a traditional Italian table used for celebrations in the southern regions of Italy facing the Mediterranean, featuring a decorative wooden structure above it which made it so special! It was dressed with crisp linen cloths and adorned with garden roses, David Austin roses, nigella, scabious, lilac, lisianthus, dahlias and small fruit compositions with grapes, pomegranates and small apples.

Another precious detail was the stationery created by the super talented Italian creative duo Shhh My Darling: painted on Carta d’Amalfi – a luxury handmade paper which is a renowned local tradition dating back to the 13th century – the stationery featured beautiful watercolor details of Villa Cimbrone, the wonderful historical villa when the event took place. Also the customized tote bags were decorated with a country theme and details of the villa.

At sunset the table was enlightened by dozens of candles and lanterns, and the wind moved the tambourines decorated with words about love, friendship, poetry and romance, making soft and gentle sounds. Such a romantic atmosphere!
