From the Bride... Being a wedding planner, I knew exactly how I wanted our wedding to be: intimate, meaningful and beautiful. In order to create the wedding of our dreams, I chose a faraway destination, the French Riviera. For the venue, I found a stunning, Art Deco villa turned five-star, boutique hotel sitting directly on the Mediterranean Sea that F. Scott Fitzgerald lived in while he wrote Tender is The Night. With a location that had a mesmerizing background and historical significance, I chose to add many unique details to make our wedding truly unforgettable.

For the theme, I chose to compliment the surrounding Mediterranean Sea by utilizing shades of blue. From the custom, acrylic drink stirrers that spelled out “oui,” watercolor menus that also functioned as place cards, custom watercolor crest, miniature satchels filled with dried lavender to toss during the ceremony recessional, the Scotch and cigar bar, late night bites of mini burgers and pommes frites, my Monique Lhuillier dress, and the French wording on our invitations, each of these details (plus many more) paid tribute to our personalities, our hometown of Houston, Texas, and the destination.
