Downton Abbey Meets Romantic Garden in this Vintage Inspired Wedding
Photographed by Addison Jones and planned by A Charming Fete, this Cleveland wedding was inspired by Downton Abbey and the beauty of the 1920s.
With nods to Downton Abbey and the allure of the 1920's, A Charming Fete created this vintage garden party themed wedding that gets better and better with every peek at Addison Jones' pics. From the overflowing bouquets of roses to the collection of sweet cakes by Luna Bakery & Cafe, it's a win from every angle. See the beauty below and more in our Vault right this way!

From A Charming Fete... We are so excited to share this gorgeous wedding. We worked very closely with the bride on every tiny detail. She loved the elegant Downton Abbey aesthetic so we really tried to pull that 20's formality through in all the details down to the flatware, cut crystal, color scheme and vintage style champagne tower. The tall floral pieces on the head table with sterling silver candelabra base were perfection, the perfect amount of drama. The venue location is a historic club in Cleveland and lended the perfect atmosphere for outdoor ceremony and 20's garden vibe.

From the Bride... I wanted our wedding to reflect who we are as a couple and where we are headed in life. Basically, Matt and I come from hardworking middle-class families who fell on a lot of difficult times, but through that we both managed to become really successful in our academics (through scholarships and work), and to me that personifies a lot of what it means to be American. In that sense, I wanted the 1920's vibe because to me it reflects a glittering time of success and celebration. We are also both big nature buffs so we wanted to tie that in tastefully, through big blooming bouquets, lush cascading vines and the beautiful formality of Downton Abbey times. We worked with our planner to create a magical 20's Garden Party inspired design, down to the details on the cakes and the curated menu. I LOVED that feeling of seeing it all come together on the day of the wedding. I could tell each of the guests were stunned by it too, people are still talking to my parents and I about how it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to. Saying my vows to Matthew in front of everyone was really emotional for me and I just felt like the luckiest person in the world. Another favorite moment was watching my bridesmaids and our moms get the movie star treatment and end up looking so beautiful, that really meant a lot to me! They deserve it. Matt's friends really rallied around him last minute when he had two groomsmen cancellations, it was really wonderful and spoke to what a great man Matt is. The guys also loved getting their hair done and personal grooming like proper gentlemen. It also warmed my heart SO MUCH to see all the guests dining on the amazing food, taking advantage of the open bar, dancing, talking, and celebrating! The pictures of them having a blast are among my favorites from the day.
