From Thecablookfotolab...These 2 lovebirds literally stole my heart. I think that people in love is the most harmonious thing ever. The way they look at each other, the way they keep the hands, the way they touch, everything around seem to be electrified by their emotion. For me this shooting was like a movie: so natural and easy. I love so much the idea of a destination engagement! What can be more romantic? Only destination engagement in Venice that ends in the gondola sailing to the sunset.

From the Bride-to-be...Alex was scheduled to go on a 6 month overseas assignment for work in March 2015. The week before he left, we went on a "farewell" road trip up the coast of California. He proposed in Big Sur at sunset on the beach, just the two of us. It was very exciting, but his departure was looming over us. The first six months of our engagement were definitely difficult, as he was in a remote place and had limited access to the internet (even less access to a phone!) So when he came home in September, we wanted to take a special trip to celebrate our engagement and being reunited. We decided to go to Italy because it is so romantic! I wanted to take engagement pictures in Venice so that we would always have a reminder of those happy moments. I found Darya on Style Me Pretty's vendor guide and fell in love with the style of her photography immediately. It is so natural and filled with emotion. Alex and I were both apprehensive about taking photographs because don't love having our pictures taken and thought we would feel awkward. However Darya made us feel SO comfortable and natural. She ended up spending the entire day with us, instead of just the few hours we booked her for, and we had such fun getting lost in Venice with her. The day that we thought be a chore ended up being the highlight of our whole trip. We can't wait to see Darya again, hopefully soon!
