There's something special about a laid-back wedding like this Maine affair where the Bride and Groom's commitment and love for one another is the center of attention. Of course, the details are still important—the lobster bake décor, the lawn games, the Bride's sweet lace dress—but, at the end of the day, it's all about the newlyweds. From The Taylor Henderson of Black Bow Events... What do you get when you mix love, lobsters, lemons and lawn games? An amazing wedding celebration!

Maura and Jared were married in Boston in late summer surrounded by close family and friends. When it came time to celebrate their marriage, they opted for a laid back affair on the coast of Maine, complete with a beautiful setting, custom cocktails (a Blueberry Mojito for Maura and a John Daley for Jared) and guests ready to have fun! For the décor, we gave a nod to the classic lobster bake (custom bibs included) and barn setting by choosing navy blue and bright lemon yellow for the flowers and design details.

The lobsters were caught by the groom's friend that morning (it doesn't get more fresh than that!) and Fire & Co. picked them up from the dock in Portland on their way up to the farm, along with their wood-fired oven and vintage bar truck!

Guests brought their competitive spirit for the lawn games during cocktail hour and spent the afternoon testing their skills at croquet, cornhole, and a giant game of jenga.

The lemon details throughout the party, including in the beautiful flowers by Marianmade Farm, were the perfect finishing touch! Congratulations Maura and Jared!
