This Colorado couple decided to let the groom's love of astronomy guide them in planning their July 5th wedding. The day was a whimsical affair with dreamy florals from Cori Cook Floral Design, tables named after constellations, and a first dance to "Fly Me to the Moon." The stars truly aligned when the bride met her ring bearer—a now-healthy seven-year-old boy to whom she had donated bone marrow to three years prior. Experience all the magic captured by Cassie Rosch in the gallery.

From the Bride...Bryan and I got married on July 5, 2014, 4 years to the day after our first date. Our friends and family are spread throughout the US so it was such a special opportunity to have all of the people we love in one place for the weekend. We took advantage of it by hosting a weekend full of activities, including the bachelor and bachelorette parties, the rehearsal brunch, a huge 4th of July barbecue with nearly all of our wedding guests, and finally the wedding of our dreams that turned out more perfectly than we could have dreamed.

We chose our theme of stars and constellations based on Bryan's love of astronomy and as a subtle nod to the 4th of July weekend that we chose. It turned out to be so much fun to plan! The star garlands that we hung from the beams of the barn turned out to be a major labor of love, but they were one of my favorite design elements of the day. We used constellations as table names, placed star shaped sparklers at each seat as a name card, and my gift to my bridesmaids were gold pendants personalized with the constellation that correlates with their astrology sign. I scoured Etsy for prints with moon and star related quotes that we placed throughout the barn, and we carried the theme into our music. "A Sky Full of Stars" by Coldplay was played while the bridal party entered the reception, our first dance was to "Fly Me To the Moon" by Frank Sinatra, and before we left we danced to "The Moon Song" by Karen O and Ezra Koenig.

Other special touches included our guest book, which featured a drawing of our venue done by my maid of honor that she gave to us as an engagement present. We cut the cake with a sabre that was my grandfather's in WWII, and the dessert table was an absolute labor of love put together by my mom, who put together a display of our favorite candies and baked dozens upon dozens of her famous gingersnap and sugar cookies that were devoured by our guests! Bryan doesn't have a huge sweet tooth but he loves German chocolate cake, and our friend who is a phenomenal baker made one for him as his groom's cake. I learned calligraphy and did all of the signage, the invitation addresses, the place cards, and the table name signs.

Cori Cook did our stunning floral arrangements, and brilliantly came up with the concept of the tree centerpieces that transformed the barn into a dreamland. Rachael from Charmed Beauty worked miracles to turn the girls' hair and makeup into masterpieces that lasted throughout the long, hot day. Trenton of Trebled Entertainment got people up and having a blast on the dance floor, and even joined in the dance party himself at times! Sara from Highland Meadows was so kind and helpful, and coordinated the day to keep it running smoothly. Finally, Cassie Rosch captured the day beautifully. She provided us with photos that we will treasure forever and became a true friend in the process. Together they formed a dream team that I would recommend to anyone!

Perhaps the most special part of the weekend (besides marrying Bryan, of course) was getting to meet my ring bearer for the first time! Three years prior to the wedding I donated bone marrow to him after being chosen as a match through the Be The Match donor registry. He is a happy, healthy 7 year old now and having him as part of the wedding was such an exciting and special opportunity to meet in person and to spend time with his family.

At the end of the night, Bryan and I found ourselves alone in the barn singing and dancing our hearts out to "Sweet Caroline" while the rest of the party was outside lining up for our sparkler exit. That moment, knowing that everyone we loved was just outside and soaking up the final moments of such a wonderful day, is one that I will remember forever. We can't thank everyone enough who helped to make our wedding so perfect!
