From Lexia Frank Photography... Since moving to the Oregon coast, I've been inspired by the landscape of this incredible state. I'm also thoroughly in love with weddings that are deeply rooted in the space in which they transpire—taking elements from the space, and therefore keeping the event cohesive and tied to the location.

For this shoot, I dip-dyed silk in natural plant-based indigo as I wanted a very watery feel. Other items that were dip dyed were the veil, the taper candles, and the ribbon.

Jenny Sanders of Graceline created the most beautiful hand written menus, escort cards and vows I have ever witnessed, and we embellished them with bits of sea glass found on the coast.

The centerpiece to the table was a true piece of aged driftwood found on the beach, with holes drilled for candles.

I wanted to create a piece of work that demonstrates how you can utilize the surroundings of a "venue," at almost no cost, to create a lovely space for your event. With a little effort in foraging, beautiful things can happen!
