From her incredibly beautiful wedding to our very own Abby Larson’s AOL Build interview to beauty tips and baby talk, we’ve loved following along with the uber stunning Molly Sims. Her real advice and down to earth personality have inspired us all, so when Jen Philips sent over this throwback to Molly’s bridal party spa day at Solage Calistoga? We knew she’d have some amazing tips for y’all on how to live in the moment and truly enjoy those last few weeks before your Big Day.
SMP: WE LOVE YOUR IDEA FOR A PRE-WEDDING SPA MORNING. WHY WAS IT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO HAVE THIS TIME WITH YOUR GIRLS?
MS: Some of the best advice someone gave me before my wedding was to stay present in the moment so that you can truly appreciate your wedding to the fullest. The spa time with my ladies was the perfect way to take a breath, relax and get ready for the one of the best days of my life. The spa time helped me not focus on the pre-wedding count down. I was too busy saying “this is really happening” as I was enjoying a mimosa rather than stressing out that it WAS really happening.
SMP: WHAT’S YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR BRIDE’S TO MENTALLY RELAX BEFORE THE BIG DAY?
MS: Have a cocktail!! Just kidding… Honestly, you know yourself best. What is your favorite way to unwind? Working out, going for a jog, getting nails done, whatever it is, make a little time for yourself to unwind and get yourself in the right frame of mind. Don’t stress yourself out on the tiny details. I promise you nobody will notice if the flowers weren’t placed at a 45degree angle facing the sunset on the gift table. Everyone is there to support you and your future spouse, celebrate your special day. If there is anything outstanding three days before the wedding, make a list of those items and delegate it to someone else and let it go!!
SMP: HOW DID THE WOMEN IN YOUR LIFE SUPPORT YOU LEADING UP TO YOUR WEDDING?
MS: They were my everything!! I’m so lucky to have an amazing group of girlfriends. Through thick and thin, they have supported me through the years. I was working on a TV show that shot in NYC prior to my wedding and those ladies were amazing to coordinate a bachelorette weekend out in the Hamptons which was quite tricky because my shooting schedule was so hectic.
SMP: YOUR GO-TO SPA TREATMENT?
MS: Getting a massage!! Don’t get me wrong, I love just about any spa treatment, including that yummy water with fruit spas always have!!
