When a bride radiates beauty the way this bride does, you know two things for sure: first, the wedding to follow is going to be one of the most beautiful things you’ll ever lay eyes on, and second, someone like Aleksandra Ambrozy probably had a hand in the day. Both of which have been confirmed by the giddy grin on my face as I flip through Paper Antler’s photos of the day!
From the stunning bride… We wanted the look to be timeless, classic and black tie.
Having done a lot of blog research through sites like Style Me Pretty I was able to identify my favorite palette: blush pink, white and gold. For the gentlemen, we knew it was would be easy to pair that with a striking, crisp black tie tuxedo. My wedding dress was a ball gown, which I had deliberated over a lot, almost selecting a more fitted, modern look. But, in keeping with the timelessness I wanted to attain, I opted for the Oleg Cassini ivory gown with gold lace – I felt like a true princess wearing it and am so glad I made that decision. The bridesmaids dresses were gorgeous Monique Lhullier and I loved the fabric and flow of the skirt. The fact that they were long and light allowed me to maintain the uniformity and formality we were going for. My sister, Maggie the Maid of Honor, wore a strapless version of the one shoulder dress. One of my gifts to the girls was a pair of simple Kate Spade pearl earrings with gold trim, tying together the gold pink theme. Thank God we went with hair up, because it was the hottest day ever!
Mike and his groomsmen were perfectly dapper in their Vera Wang Black tuxes. Mike’s gave the men their monogrammed cufflinks and pink striped socks, which made for some great photos both at the beginning and end of the night. Ha!
I love baby’s breath and roses and our florist did an incredible job of incorporating those flowers into the bouquets and floral arrangements. Our cake was a unique creation which featured gold trim and a pink lace design. It was delicious!
Our big day was everything we could have imagined and more! Saturday, June 1 was a 99 degree day with gorgeous blue skies. We are blessed to have been surrounded by our friends and family from New York and all over the country. One month later, we left the big city for life in the Philly ‘burbs and have been happily ever after ever since. Our amazing photographers Jonny and Michelle Hoffner of Paper Antler have given us the most magical pictures we could have ever dreamed of. We are so grateful to them for capturing our day so perfectly with memories we will treasure for a lifetime.
