Spanish Inspired Spring Bridal Shoot
January 22, 2014
I'm a certified inspiration junkie, so when I stumble on a feature like this one from Blue Rose Photography, I make sure I set aside some serious time to soak up every second. From the lovely flowers from Geneva Diane Designs to the fab favors Robin Charlotte Air Plants to the gorgeous gowns from Jillian fellers and Pure Magnolia, everything sitting in this gallery is just divine.

From Blue Rose Photography...This shoot was inspired by a historical Spanish church in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle, WA. This old and ornate church stands out amongst the typical Seattle architecture. Its arched windows, oak doors, detailed columns and imperfect stucco walls are romantic and timeless. It was built in 1926 by architect Harlan Thomas. It was almost torn down in 2007 to build condos but has since been saved and added to the Washington Historical Landmark list. I walk by it often and have always dreamed of how beautiful a wedding would be at this church. We took color inspiration from the buildings exterior and added some pops of color with the spring bouquet and table flowers made by Geneva Diane Designs. I worked with a team of vendors in the Seattle area to create a simple yet elegant spring look inspired by this historical Spanish architecture. We incorporated Spanish love poems, a hand carved wooden hair clip, a crystal catholic rosary and some colorful and romantic hair styles. Shyn Midili (Hair/Makeup) took inspiration from Frida Khalo and added her own twist to it for a modern and colorful up-do. The shoulder cap fitted gowns are from Jillian Fellers and the organic cotton gown with the long train is by Pure Magnolia.
