There may be snow dusted on the ground, but today m’dears, we’re transporting to warmer places. Oakland, California, to be specific. You see, miss Danielle Capito sent us one of the most darling summer weddings we’ve seen with pastel pretty bloomage by Twigs Floral Studio. Get ready to swoon and have a looksy loo in the gallery for sooooo much more.
From the Bride… I met Timmy during my freshman year of college in San Luis Obispo, despite growing up five minutes away from each other. We began dating soon after we met, and the last three years have led us on an unbelievable journey. We’ve shared countless journeys both together and apart, and I always knew that I wanted him to be the one I would journey with for the rest of my life.
Timmy proposed by setting up an inspiration shoot with Danielle that was Valentine’s Day themed. After we finished the first part of the shoot at the Valentine’s table, we went up onto a hill overlooking some of the beautiful farms and hills in Atascadero. It was an hour from sunset, and the light was absolutely stunning. Standing below a giant oak tree, Timmy reached for his pocket and got down on his knee. Through smiles, laughs, and sweet practiced words he asked me to marry him! I jumped into his arms and we enjoyed a brief celebration on the hill before we continued taking pictures. Looking back at the photos, I am so grateful that we were able to capture the true emotion of those few minutes after we became engaged. The joy is so authentic and precious, and you can see it in every shot!
