I can honestly say never have I ever come across a DIY vintage Lakers themed wedding. But you know what? It’s kind of amazing. Think a mix of that signature purple and yellow paired with the chandelier draped backdrop of the Carondelet House in Los Angeles and it takes the Lakers into a new realm of romance. Who would have thought? This baby is 100% DIY crafted and definitely Groom approved. Have a look at all of the beauty captured by Gina & Ryan Photography right here in the full gallery.
From Gina & Ryan Photography… Were so privileged to have worked with Audrey & Michael for their DIY Vintage Lakers themed Wedding at Carondelet House in Los Angeles. When we first met to discuss the details of their wedding, it was like having a conversation with old friends. Music, comic books, movies, video games, beer, family, and of course, the Lakers were all on the table for discussion. Instant connection (besides us being huge Clippers fans, ha)! Regardless, we knew that their detail oriented wedding was going to be amazing.
Audrey & Michael held their wedding at the extraordinary Carondelet House in downtown Los Angeles. Michael grew up a die-hard (and we mean die-hard!) Lakers fan. So, naturally his wedding would involve his love for his favorite NBA team in some fashion. The venue’s exposed wood ceilings and brick facades tastefully paired with Audrey & Michaels Vintage Laker paraphernalia as well as with the subtle touches of the classic colors of antiqued purple and gold. After grand entrancing to an old school Lakers starting line-up audio clip, they soon were serenaded by their favorite song, The Sad Waltzes of Pietro Crespi (by Owen), while dancing in an open air courtyard. Cheers, Audrey & Michael! You brought elegant class, awesome design, and extreme love to your Vintage Lakers themed wedding.
