There are so many words I could use to describe this Essex House wedding from Lauren Gabrielle Photography, but honestly, there isn't a single one that would possibly do it justice. Glamorous, timeless, perfect? Yes, but nothing quite fits. So I'll leave you with the notion that it's every girls dream, (and every bloggers dream too, for that matter) and you can get lost in each and every gorgeous moment right here.

From the Bride... From the moment we got engaged, we both knew we wanted to get married in Manhattan. While we met and started dating in high school in Connecticut, we really started our life together post-college in NYC. We really wanted to incorporate the NYC theme wherever we could. The venue search was exhausting; the city has so many amazing venues, we didn't know where to start. After visiting an extensive number of different venues we had to decide whether we wanted a hotel wedding, a loft, or one of the old banks that have been turned into an event space. in the end choosing the Essex House was an easy decision. The ballroom was so gorgeous, and the event team was so amazing and accommodating, we knew we made the right choice.

I knew I wanted a really classic and elegant black tie New York City wedding. I love black and white and knew I wanted those to be my wedding colors. I also did not want to look back in 20 years and ask myself "what was I thinking?". The ballroom at the Essex House is so beautiful I knew I wanted to keep the flowers and decor all white because I did not want to compete with what was already going on. Ashley at Belle Fleur is an amazing artist and brought my vision to life. She had so many creative ideas and was such a pleasure to work with. From the beginning of the wedding planning process we knew we wanted a big party; we wanted our friends and family on the dance floor all night. Our band did not disappoint, they were fantastic and kept our guests dancing for the entire 4 and a half hours (we even extended the party!). Everyone we worked with was absolutely amazing: Stacy and Sally on hair and makeup, our team of coordinators Jason, Jeffrey and Peter, and Lauren our photographer. Thanks to them our wedding day was the most amazing and perfect day of our lives.
