I'm obsessed with this wedding. The cake (and topper!), the polka dots and chevron, the mason jar cocktails, it's all right up my alley. And then there are the photographs. The magic captured. The totally beautiful images from Lauren Fair Photography. One look at the gallery, and you're going to be just as obsessed as I am, promise.

From the beautiful bride... Keith put all of the wedding planning in my hands. We both agreed though that we wanted a unique venue that had a laid back feel. For our wedding, I wanted to incorporate both of our personalities into our day. I love all things polka dots and peonies and Keith loves comic books. Since we were getting married on May 4 (May the fourth be with you… Star Wars fans get it!), it was inevitable that we had to involve a twist of comic book flair in the otherwise girly décor. I really wanted Keith to be surprised and excited about the details that the ladies of Belovely helped me create just for him. We had Comic Book Character table assignments, a superhero themed photo booth, and capes I made especially for us.

Since this was a celebration of two families coming together, and people traveled from all over the US, we wanted to create an atmosphere where everyone was out of their seats the entire wedding mingling, dancing and chatting. So we went with stations made up of all of our favorite comfort foods from our favorite cities that we have lived in. We had an amazing DJ that played a mix of mine and Keith’s favorite genres of music (I love 90’s rap, Keith does not).

Since Keith and I moved to Philadelphia from San Diego just five months before the wedding, we picked our most important vendors long distance after just a few phone calls. The hours of online research paid off. We had an amazing group of people that made our day all that I imagined and more. I fell in love with Lauren Fair Photography instantly and her and her adorable husband did not disappoint. Heather at Cottage Flowers created the most adorable arrangements for us. Belovely Inc. is so talented and they made the process so stress free for me. Keith and I wanted an amazing party to celebrate with our family and friends and it was exactly that. Such a memorable day for us.
