In my experience bachelorette parties can go one of two ways: incredibly fun or terribly expected. I’m fairly confident that this specific party falls in the former category. The thought of grabbing your girlfriends for a day filled with getting fit, having fun and ingesting some much deserved champagne, before heading out on the town of course, is totally and completely up my alley. Captured by Cyn Kain, theres lots more from this girly fete right here in the gallery.
From Cyn… Earlier this year Sara of Fit for a Bride Blog approached me about doing an inspiration shoot and we dreamed up the idea of Barre & Brunch.
I am an avid barre & pilates gal myself and as a wedding photographer have fit brides who will seriously have morning 5Ks/10Ks with their bridesmaids the morning of the wedding. As someone who values a healthy lifestyle, I have always tried to work out at bachelorette parties myself. So we got to thinking what better way to kick off a bachelorette weekend than with a barre class! After Barre, the girls can go lounge by the pool, relax then get ready for an evening full of good food, drinks and dancing of course!
From Sara… The “Meet me at the Barre” concept was developed upon discovering the phrase on off-the-shoulder Sweaty Betty t-shirts, which were essentially packaged as invites and sent to bridesmaids to meet at the “barre,” and start the bachelorette party weekend! As a thanks for their participation in the workout (and wedding!), each girl was gifted a fabulous Lululemon run from work backpack filled with goodies– energy bars, zico coconut water, mane message hair ties, and eos organic lip balm; and the grand finale was a Kate Spade get the show on the road idiom bangle that read, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” Of course, no bachelorette party is complete without a cheers to the bride-to-be! Pommery champagne in mini-pink bottles seemed the most appropriate following this ballerina-type workout.
About Fit for a Bride:
I started Fit for a Bride to combine wedding and fitness inspiration for today’s modern, health-concious bride. Ultimately, I strive to help women see beyond wedding day details and focus on their physical and emotional well-being in order to have a healthy newlywed kitchen and life! The idea for this blog was born out of my love for weddings, fitness, and writing, as well as my own weight loss journey.
