Pretty and personal, this wedding captured beautifully by Sweet Heirloom Photography is simply making my Monday morning. And how could it not with a couple so adorable and details so charming? It’s the type of soiree where the couple’s personality seeps through every last moment, and really what’s better than that? See it all here.
From the Bride…We wanted our wedding to be intimate and fun. Our only instructions to our caterers were not to run out of food or alcohol. We wanted our guests to see and feel the connection between us and to see how in love we are. We wrote our own vows because we didn’t want anyone else to tell our story. Most guests came up to Whistler for the entire wedding weekend. Instead of a traditional Sunday brunch to open gifts, Mark’s parents threw a “Night Before Burgers & Jeans” party catered by Vera’s Burgers and Lucia Gelato. All our guests were able to get to know each other before the wedding. By the time the wedding rolled along (and after a few cocktails), they were like old friends. There’s a cliche where many say a wedding is for the guests and not the couple but we felt our wedding was truly for the two of us as well as our family and friends. From the beginning we wanted to show our family and friends how much we meant to each other since we’re not a touchy feely couple. We’ve had numerous guests tell us how our vows and speeches really touched them, which for us means our wedding did exactly what we wanted.
