When Signature Events Consulting + Design sent over this festive birthday celebration, I immediately decided that my new favorite color combo was green, gold, black + ivory. Although I’ve loved seeing Pantone’s color of the year all over blog land, I have never found the right use for it in my own home or soiree. Now that I know it’s as simple as a few pretty glasses placed on your tablescape, well let’s just say I’ll be using this gem of a color a bit more.

From Signature Events Consulting + Design… Last month, we celebrated my birthday and I love parties! We choose Villa Valentina in San Jose del Cabo, because of its charm (I’m all about the quaint decor), their amazing service, their great cocktails and of course, the adorable people who run it. The restaurant has an independent roof terrace, which was the perfect place for the fiesta. We used Villa Valentina furniture and we created a very nice, inviting setting.

The color palette was green, gold, ivory and black and I really liked how the color palette worked out. This table was simple, yet full of details and textures that made it special, thanks to amazing vendors such Pina Hernandez and Del Cabo designs.

And my candy table? Well, as hard as I’m trying to lead a healthy life and stay away from sugar, who can resist a candy table when you have homemade cake, chocolates, jelly beans and cute jar tags by Liza Vella?
