So we’re more than fully aware that we’ve already showcased Paris in the past, but when you get a chance to view it through Lexia Frank’s lens you don’t DARE say no. Because the girl has a serious way of capturing the essence, the soul if you will, of each and every thing she photographs. And this series of images is certainly no exception. Oh, and there’s more right here!
From Lexia Frank… For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been in love with all things Parisian; the food, the language, the atmosphere, the crêpes, and of course the city. When my mother and sister and I decided to go to Europe for some girl bonding time, we of course wanted to throw Paris in the loop of beautiful cities. It was our last stop on a whirlwind European tour, and although we were absolutely exhausted we wasted not a minute. Laudurée was obviously a must (they are, arguably, the most famous and world-renowned pâtisserie of macarons) and it did not disappoint. Although I was saddened to hear that we were not allowed to take photographs inside the shop, we divulged in every kind we could get our hands on. Laudurée is such a ‘must’ if you travel to paris- do not miss it!
Other than beautiful window shopping and doing the normal tourist-y things, we also happened upon an intimate orchestral concert at St. Madeleine – one of the most exquisite cathedrals I’ve ever seen. There are no windows except for one beautiful skylight above the altar, where light comes streaming in. It was an extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime experience.
After filling our suitcases with little vintage french children’s toys and books (I can’t forget my little ones at home!) french scarves, and a red Parisian hat, and indulging ourselves on nutella crêpes and gelato it’s no surprise that we slept the entire way home!
