From the Bride... On a brisk 20 degree day in February, we tied the knot in downtown Chicago. Playing off location and time of year, the wedding took classic yet sparkly approach to decor. The entire goal was to make everyone feel warm even though it was frigid outside. We achieved this through a simplistic color palette of black, white, and a pop of purple. Past that, everything was 'blinged' out.
The wedding party began the day getting glamorous at the Westin. Hair was done, makeup was perfected, and men suited up. Despite the sun shining, sub-freezing temperatures kept the bridal party inside at Union Station and the Cultural Center to get shots in some of Chicago's most scenic buildings. Luckily we were able to brave the cold for a few pictures on Lasalle in front of the Board of Trade.
After pictures, we became man and wife in a beautiful traditional Jewish Wedding Ceremony in front of 190 of our friends and family. The party raged on to the beats of Rendezvous! Everyone was out of their seats and enjoying the party. The group got together for a lively Horah where we, both mothers and both sisters got lifted up in the chair! The night ended with a heartwarming rendition of Piano man with the entire wedding making a circle around us.
It was freezing outside but the wedding was full of love and warmth!
