One trip to the Big Apple, and it’s easy to see why people fall head over heels in love with it. It’s got a personality all of its own, so it should be no surprise the people that call New York City home are full of pizazz themselves. And when you pair that personality packed city with a couple with a style all of their own, you get a wedding like this one captured by Reminisce Photography that is nothing short of fabulous. See it all here.
From Reminisce Photography… Stefanie and Erik’s theme for their wedding was perfect for the city where they met and fell in love, New York! Their venue, The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, was the perfect place to make their Big Apple dreams come true. With high, steel-beamed ceilings, the reception venue gave off the feeling of being underground in a train station (a brand new, beautiful train station, of course!)
Blue skies all around, the ceremony was held with gorgeous views of the Hudson River when Stefanie and Erik became man and wife. The bride’s flowers, white roses with pops of blue and green, reflect the her favorite colors, as do the blue bridesmaid dresses and the flowers everywhere (which filled the Lighthouse with a bright, vibrant feeling). A single, live violin played for the ceremony, making the moment extra romantic.
The reception room really brought the couple’s vision to life. The table numbers were each based on a subway line; the place cards had the New York skyline etched on the top. Each table also had a miniature subway train car and pens as favors for the guests. The loveliest part was the cake; a three tiered cake with the Manhattan skyline, different subway line signs, and to top it off, a Big Apple. It was truly a once in a lifetime wedding!
