It’s freezing in Boston right now. I mean reeeeally cold (and I’m a girl who loves winter). But it’s days like this that spending a Friday night cuddled up close to your sweetie is totally justified. And if I close my eyes tight enough maybe I can even transport myself into this sophisticated 20′s inspired photo shoot by the lovely, Kate Triano and Waverly Road Events. And Lori Nansi of Le Mariee nailed the look! I might not be lucky enough to be rocking a fabulous frock by Claire Pettibone but if chilly weather, a blanket, and a loved one are enough… I’m off to a good start.
From Kate Triano Photography… Noticing that more and more brides are looking for a timeless beauty look on their wedding day, we were inspired to recreate our vision of a 1920s intimate wedding. We wanted to loop in the prohibition spirit while updating the look for a modern day style. Women’s fashion – the dark lips, vintage dress, pin-up curls and classic pearls – were the major aspects that guided our approach. The crisp late fall weather dictated our rich color scheme of plum and natural cream tones, all of which complemented the natural beauty of Oatland’s magnificent historic grounds and charm. The florals that Petals and Hedges provided topped off the look perfectly.
And from Lori of Le Mariee… My approach to the hair and makeup was inspired by the romantic looks of the 1920′s. I used a very bold and rich lip shade on our model Christen, with plum/purple/wine hues on her eyes and cheeks. A unique approach to her hair with a combination of pin curls and waves .
