Growing up just a hop, skip and a jump away from the border, Canada quickly became one of my favorite countries in the world to visit. Maybe it has a little something to do with the breathtaking mountains, acres of majestic landscape or the downright friendliness of every city you visit, but whatever the reason, Canada is awesome. And I love it. Also on my love list? This gorgeous Whistler wedding from the geniuses at Spread Love Events, which is what I’m calling the perfect ode to our neighbors to the north with a rustic, natural beauty that almost makes you catch your breath. Check out the full gallery captured by Robin O’Neill Photography right here.

From Spread Love Events… When we began planning and styling Lindsay and Vince’s wedding in Whistler we had to use our imagination as the grounds at Edgewater and Green Lake were covered in snow and ice. As the snow began to melt it was clear Lindsay and Vince had chosen their perfect spot. Spending much of their time in Whistler, they knew they wanted to bring their family and friends together for a celebration surrounded by the beauty of the mountains and the lake in a place they love most.
The vision for the wedding was to create an elegant, natural and intimate affair that enhanced the stunning environment. The colour scheme was inspired by the gorgeous colour of the alpine lake and the wildflowers in the surrounding meadows. Lindsay’s talented sister designed the invitations and paper goods which were a spring board for our other designs. An abundance of flowers flanked the natural birch altar we created and harvest reception tables. Each place setting was personalized with custom chevron napkins, hobnail water glasses and place cards individual typed on an old fashioned typewriter. The recycled glass candle votives decorated the tables and added an eclectic touch to this elegant outdoor wedding. And because no great dance party happens in Whistler without them, the evening party kicked off to the sweet sounds of the Hairfarmers.
