When one of our beloved LBBers ties the knot, we know to expect pretty. But when the talented Stacie Ford Weddings gets married, we were expecting pretty times oh, about a million. And that we got. She and her love travelled to his hometown in lovely Greece to wed in a gorgeous ceremony, all captured by Anna Roussos Photography‘s lens. The result is a gallery filled with love, glamour, and so, so much pretty. Click here to see it!
When we decided to get married, it was very natural that we decided on the historic coastal town of Nafpaktos, Greece. Being that this was my fiancés hometown, made doing a destination wedding in Greece a dream come true for everyone!
As we started to gather ideas, we wanted to stay true to the Greek culture, it’s beauty and tradition. We decided on a small intimate church along the coast that offered a picturesque view of the Mediterranean sea. When it came time to select a venue for our reception, it was all about openness, beauty, and tranquility. We decided on a open wooden cabana that offered unspoiled views of the sea.
We wanted things to be simple, organic, and represent the true beauty of Greece. The overall color palette was shades of white with touches of green. We went with the aloe vera plant for our centerpieces. Each plant was surrounded by white stones that we had gathered along the beach.
We danced the night away to traditional Greek and American music, ate plenty of pita bread, and drank ouzo until we all started breakdancing.
When the next day arrived, it was time to work again with the amazing Anna Roussos all over again for our ” love story” shoot. We started at the Venetian castle that overlooks the city of Nafpaktos. It’s vanilla & latte colored stones made the perfect backdrop for Anna to capture some amazing photos.
As we went up a little further, we came across a long winding road that we decided to explore. Along the way we stopped, had a picnic, listened to the sound of bees in the background and watched the flowers dance in front of us.
As the shoot continued, we walked through the charming cobblestone streets of the city eating ice cream, being kids, and being in love!
We wrapped up the shoot at the port of Nafpaktos, where we played in the water, walked along the port and gazed out over the horizon.
We could not have asked for more!
