Overflowing with lavender, this backyard beauty by Pure Love Photography couldn’t be lovelier if it tried. It also just happens to be a DIY masterpiece, thanks the the talented (and equally gorgeous) Bride. She helped create everything you see in this pretty fest – from the bridesmaids gowns to the bouquets and everything in between – it’s DIY done oh so right. See it all here!

From the Bride… We wanted to make the day very personal and totally us. Keith and I crafted everything, from the cut wine bottle candles, the Pinterest-inspired recycled jar vases, the fimo photo booth props, the dresses, music, decorations, favors, earrings, flowers, signs, food…everything. I designed my dress, which seamstress and corset-maker Sue Nice made it even better than I imagined. The bridesmaid dresses were designed and made by me. My sister Vanessa and I made the bouquets and boutonnieres from fresh lavender from a local farm, Keys Creek Lavender. We had everyone’s help filling dozens of vases and decorating the place with more lavender. Our friends, Alissa and Ricky of Bite Me Food Truck, did a fabulous job catering the event with their local fresh, local, organic and delicious cuisine. If you ever see their hot pink truck around Southern California, you have to try the fish tacos with pineapple salsa. Our friends Brad and Kathy were our fabulous bartenders, our friend Dave officiated and kept the crowd laughing and crying with his quick wit. Everyone was a cinematographer or paparazzo at some point to help capture the event so my mom, who was unable to attend, didn’t have to miss anything. We had found a beautiful venue that allowed us the freedom to do things how we wanted, and all of our family and friends helped make it everything we hoped it would be.
