From La mariée aux pieds nus… We wanted to recreate a lovely rustic afternoon picnic in Normandy, gathering some fresh and inspired French wedding vendors at the beautiful Manoir des Prévanches, a gorgeous place to celebrate weddings that is about one hour away from Paris. Some antique, family-embroidered sheets, old furniture and linen pennant garlands were placed in the garden. Frederic Garrigues and Marie Leblay did an amazing job with the florals, using only seasonal flowers such as peonies, tulips, lisianthus, scabiosa, poppies and an amazing pink lily of the valley. And their flower crowns were just gorgeous! Everything was based upon light and sweet shades of pink, beige, purple and watercolor effects. Estelle from Dioton created a lovely, hand-drawn invitation suite. She also made some little tags for a typical French cheese bar. Everything matched the hand-painted wedding cake made by the three talented American girls in Paris who run Sugarplum. We choose the beautiful wedding gowns by Orlane Herbin, made with leather and tulle, to contrast with the rustic feeling of the venue and add a little twist of impertinence in this shoot. Florence, aka FleurdeSucre, captured the light of the day amazingly with a perfect attention to the little details that made that editorial shoot even more lovely.
