You guys. I’m in love. I’m in love with this Love Found Shipwrecked Wedding Inspiration from Evan Hunt Photography. It’s actually a little embarrassing how big my crush is. I’ve got a crush on the gorgeous couple – with her perfect red locks and his five o’clock shadow. I’m in love with the beach and the bright blue ocean at Terranea Resort. I’m head over heels about the fantastic found items, all with the most perfect vintage nautical feel. The entire shoot, dreamt up by the talented Shawna Yamamoto Event Design + La Boheme Events, has planted itself directly in my heart, and is staying there for good. Click here for more!

From Shawna Yamamoto Event Design … With all the hype coming from the commemoration of the Titanic, its 100th anniversary and re opening of the 1997 Titanic movie in 3D, our inspirational minds were spurred to produce a styled photo shoot with a similar theme. Devastation of leaving loved ones behind, carrying on with life with the only belongings that are salvaged, starting a new, these ideas were all feelings adapted when we began brain storming for this shoot.
You will see through the images provided that we created a scene where bride and groom have become ship wrecked during 1912 and must continue life with the love from each other, the memories they once had, and the hopes for a better future together. The tight scene shows the celebration of a wedding, even through the terrible occurrence they still have each other to celebrate their love.
Terranea’s public beach site served as the perfect location for this shoot. A rocky beach where we were experienced an all encompassing feeling of the actuality of washing up on this beach. Surrounded by complete, uncontrollable nature (Whales breached the water!) we actually felt a sense of reality to the shoot.
A long king sized table, eclectically set with mixed china resembling the concept that the couple used whatever was salvaged from the wrecking to set a nice dinner. The couple shares a toast and each other’s company as the night continues. Simple, cloud like centerpieces made from green viburnum consecutively line the table. Large silver footed bowls, held fresh fruit symbolizing an abundant future. Detailed décor on the bride and grooms place setting include a journal, past letters from family members, and chain watches.
A trunk spilling out belongings from the bride and groom, maps of their journey, and silver serving platters which offer a perfect setting for the hand written escort cards.
The bride bouquet was made from strips of fabric and ribbon, cascading frames of family photos and words as love, family, cherish, and 1912 adorned the piece. Similar to the bride’s bouquet, the groom’s boutonniere was made from strips of ribbon.
We used Found Vintage Rentals blue dresser, as a cake display, we stuffed the drawers with more viburnum. It was placed directly onto the rocky beach. The cake was frosted and detailed with oversized rosettes. Smaller desserts were also placed around the drawer atop silver platters.
