This gem will forever be referred to as a feast for the fashion lover’s eye. We’re talking a Bride outfitted by Prada, Manolo Blahnik and the like. And that sassy/elegant style of hers is mirrored in a Palm Springs bash worthy of your favorite’s list. A big, long table reaching as far as the eye can see, hot pink shoes finding a resting place in the green grass for a few candid shots, a couple so smitten it shows through in ever single image… it’s all there and all photographed with such an easy, breezy beauty by Raya Carlisle Photography. From the Bride… We were married at the Corona Yacht Club in Coachella, California. This amazing property has several different areas, including a lake with a winding path, and we utilized them all. We really wanted our guests to feel as if they were in an oasis. We rented a shuttle bus to transport the guests to CYC. They entered at the main outdoor cabana and traveled to the lawn for the ceremony. Afterwards, they enjoyed cocktails back at the main outdoor cabana while the sun was setting over the lake. For dinner, we ushered them into the stunning Palm Grove where we had one, long, 112-foot table. The main reception and dancing followed at the “dancing dock” overlooking the lake. I stayed away from any themes; I really wanted the wedding to be eclectic mix of classy, modern, glamour and desert oasis. For colors, we chose shades of green, ranging from chartreuse to lime, with pops of fuchsia. The venue had so much natural desert oasis beauty that I only wanted to continue by focusing on green succulents, accenting with pops of fuchsia and pink flowers. My personal flowers were by accident — the original flowers I had chosen were no longer available, so my florist quickly put together some replacements.

I had so much fun designing and printing the entire wedding invitation suite and the wedding signage using both Gocco and Epson. Josh, his brother and I also assembled and stained 28 dinner centerpiece boxes. We filled 14 boxes with hand-made coffee paper filter flowers and Spanish moss. We then purchased 80 small succulents, reindeer moss and river pebbles at the LA Flower Market, and my mother filled the remaining 14 boxes with those. We gave them away to the guests at the end of the reception — they were in high demand! My favorite wedding detail was the dinner table — it felt like we were dining with the royal court in the middle of a palm grove.
