From Sara & Rocky Photography... Katie and Ulises were married on March 24 outside the beautiful town of Boquete, Panama, at the resort Valle Escondido. Katie worked a few years ago in Panama City, and met Ulises (or his nickname, Peque) there. She currently lives in San Francisco, and he is now moving there with her. We were able to spend the entire weekend with them, capturing the bus ride in, the rehearsal dinner, and all day on the wedding day. There were around 100 guests, and many of Peque's family drove in from Panama City.

The ceremony was outside of a beautiful chapel in the resort, with the volcano mountainside as the background. Tons of flowers were flown in from Colombia, and everyone got a gift bag with Panama's best coffee. The reception was in the resort's spa building, and that is where lots of Panamanian traditions came out! Peque's mom surprised them with the traditional Panamanian dancers, and then towards the end of the night, the "Murga" came in to create total craziness.  It's sort of like a Panamanian Mardi Gras, where a band comes in, plays upbeat/crazy music for 30 straight minutes, not stopping, everyone puts on masks, and jumps up and down. Those images probably stand out.  These are some of the most wonderful people we have ever photographed, in one of the most beautiful countries.
