When you pair one of my favorite cities, San Francisco, with an off-the-charts-elegant soiree like this one – it’s like giving me a heavy dose of my wedding kryptonite. I can’t turn away from all the pretty, nor do I want to. I just want to sit and devour all the chic city goodness captured by Hannah Suh Photography, and thanks to the full gallery of images, I think I’ll do just that!
From Hannah Suh Photography… Natalie and Ed wanted a wedding that was ultra glamorous and chic, but also fun and playful. And all this was planned within five months! The whole look, decor and attire was meant to be very regal and elegant, but the mood and atmosphere was very laid-back, filled with jokes, laughter, photo booth fun, a raging dance party and even a late night treat of Jack in the Box. The black tie wedding was held at the gorgeous Palace Hotel in the heart of San Francisco — a venue with such a luxurious backdrop that they could save a ton on decorations. And believe it or not, a ton of the wedding was DIY, with friends and family pitching in to bring everything together. Natalie’s mom made her veil by purchasing a long swath of tulle and painstakingly attaching every single crystal bead onto the material. Natalie sourced the material and put together the candy bar baggies herself, with the mounds of candy coming from trips to Costco. Several friends performed and sang throughout the reception, and Natalie’s younger brother acted as the MC. Towards the end of the night, guests were treated to tacos, burgers and fries from Jack in the Box. It was one of Natalie’s favorite part of the day — she is obsessed with those Jack in the Box tacos! In order to highlight San Francisco, Natalie and Ed rented out a trolley for the bridal party to take photos at some of San Francisco’s iconic locations, such as the Legion of Honor. The whole wedding day was such a great representation of how beautiful and elegant the city can be.
