A breathtaking woodland setting, a whole lot of fabulous style and the cutest couple you ever did see... when it comes to knocking your socks off with lovely, this darling B.C. engagement session isn't missing a beat.  Yep, from the sweet tribute to the bride-to-be's parents (red VW van included!) to their glorious ode to the outdoors, these lovebirds have me completely captivated.  And those stunning images captured by Marie Skerl Photography (who also styled every last ounce of lovely)?  Amazing. From the Bride-to-Be... The themes for our photo shoot came from things we enjoy. I love to be outside in nature and Dan loves watching films, so why not combine the two? We also both have a love for traveling. My parents even drove across Canada in a van on their honeymoon. So, when Marie mentioned a VW van, we knew that it would be perfect for recreating a road trip together.

For the proposal, Dan had planned a special "Halloween Date" for us but didn't tell me any of the details. All I knew was that we were going to be watching some scary movies. That morning Dan had made a list of things for me to bring: a cooler, rain clothes and gum boots! He ended up driving me to the top of Mt. Seymour and led me to a cute cabin in the woods. There he lit a fire, we carved some pumpkins, watched some scary videos, and then he made me dinner. After dinner, he asked if I wanted to watch another video. That video turned out to be a recording of a Skype conversation he had that morning with my parents, asking them for their blessing! Dan got down on his knee and proposed. I laughed through the whole thing (ha ha) — and of course I said yes! We ended the evening with some celebratory fireworks in the parking lot.
