You all know that we have a soft spot for California celebrations here on SMP. It’s just that as a Texas girl (hot, humid) living in Boston (cold, cold, very cold) the idea that you can have an al fresco affair without a plan B is like crazy talk. So to see a perfect outdoor wedding in all its California glory…well, it’s like wedding crack for me. Then, when the bride and groom design an affair that is also stunningly beautiful with details that blend so seamlessly into the backdrop of the space and photography by Picotte Weddings that I would hang on my own wall…well, you know you have the recipe for SMP gold. Just make sure to check out the full gallery and the stunning film below.
From Picotte Weddings… Melissa and Josh’s wedding was held at the gorgeous Casa Romantica. The ceremony was perched on the cliffs over looking the ocean. The bride and groom stood under an beautiful arbor decorated by the lovely gals at Flower Wild. When the guests arrived, they picked up moonstones symbolizing love, peace and fertility, which were later given blessings for the bride and groom and placed in a vase. After the ceremony, all of the guests gathered in the courtyard, where they were seated for dinner. The Spanish architecture combined with the lush centerpieces was truly breathtaking. After dinner all of the guests were invited in to witness the couple’s first dance and to dance the night away. The fireplace was draped in flowers, foliage and candles that glowed throughout the night. We had the honor of documenting this wedding on a mixture of film and digital.
