This wedding is filled to the pretty brim with deets I’m totally crushing on. The flowers are perfect for this beautiful Spring day. The deep purple and vibrant green are the best compliment to the stunning vineyard grounds. The tented reception, dressed to impress, looked to be a blast. And this couple is the sweetest – definitely the kinds of people I just WANT to be friends with. Especially after reading the proposal story (you HAVE to read it). Zac proposed to me during the Chicago Marathon on 10-10-10. We had been dating for close to seven years. He told me three specific mile points to look for him. At mile 3, he had a sign that said “Shannon”. I didn’t think anything of it. I was mostly curious about how he managed to get a sign made in Chicago without me knowing it. At mile 7 there were then two signs that read “Shannon will”. At mile 13 it turned into “Shannon will you”. At that point I knew what he was up to. I didn’t see him again until the end of the marathon. He told me to meet him at Buckingham Fountain were there were signs that read “Shannon will you marry me?”. There was a large crowd of people and he dropped to one knee and the rest is history! He would make me run a marathon for a proposal

Both Zac and I really enjoy the outdoors and knew we had to have an outdoor wedding. A vineyard seemed perfect because it is not only outdoors but beautiful. We really wanted the location to speak for itself.

My favorite photo of the day is one taken through the fountain at the front of the home. It is really artistic and pretty. My favorite moment from the wedding day would have to be first look. It was nice to get that done so the nerves disappeared and we just had fun moving forward.
