You might recognize this next too cute for words couple. In fact, you might have already fallen in love with them when we featured their ridiculously adorable engagement sesh over on our New York blog a few months back. And if you're anything like us, you were saying a little prayer that they would pick SMP to debut their big day...which we're happy to say, they did just that. With stunning photographs by Esther Sun and a grab-a-tissue gorgeous film captured by Boffo Video, this couple so embodies what we love about our SMP brides. Chic, timeless, classic with a twist of total fabulous. Oh and there is so much more right here in the gallery.
And if the stunning photography wasn't enough, see it all come to life in this pinch me perfect vignette by Boffo Video...
From the Bride... In the streets of LA during the 2002 FIFA World Cup, I met a lanky boy by surprise when he replaced my flag that had been swiped by a group of rowdy pedestrians. Fast forward seven years, and that lanky boy and I met again by chance — this time the encounter would be between a successful young man and a young, bright-eyed woman both living in the Big Apple. Unlike those aimless enthusiasts rushing the streets years before, we seem to have been led directly towards each other’s worlds since that very first meeting. Through mutual friends and random outings, we found ourselves running into each other often, and in time, we developed a fond friendship that eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship. After an incredible three years together, Alex proposed on January 27, 2011.
Living in NYC and planning a Los Angeles wedding seemed ambitious at first, but with my savvy vendors and support from friends and family, everything came together just how we wanted it: perfect. Alex and I wanted to infuse a bit of the New York City glam with the modern flair of LA. The SLS Hotel was the perfect venue that carried the palette to create our special day. Our ceremony was held outdoors in the Garden Terrace, and we got so lucky with beautiful Cali weather as it was expected to rain on our wedding day! In the reception, the candlelight's soft amber glow created a classic ambiance to the room, and the pop of red roses on white orchids and hydrangeas grounded with black brought in the modern style.
The most important aspect was for our guests to enjoy all the savory foods and have a great time . We wanted a true celebration with our family and friends. All in all, we are so happy with how everything turned out, and we are so blessed to have amazing vendors who ran the show seamlessly and made our day super-special! It was so much better than what we hoped for and beyond our imagination.
