There is something about Miami and pick-your-jaw-off-the-floor-gorgeous modern weddings that enviably go hand in hand. It must be something in the sand, because nothing really compares to the soirees that come out of that sun-filled city. Kallima Photography is giving us another case study in modern weddings done oh-so-right with this beauty, and trust me when I say you are going to marvel over all the modern in the full gallery of images – because they are be-yond gorg.

From Rebekah of Kallima Photography… Amanda + Willy are a gorgeous, down to earth, lively couple who got married on January 7th at the W Hotel South Beach. Both living and working in Washington D.C., but having dated and lived in Miami, the W Hotel was truly the perfect backdrop for their wedding. Amanda wore a Vera Wang gown named Fiona. Her bridesmaids gray, strapless gowns were accented by a black ribbon belt that Amanda herself designed and provided. Amanda’s father had passed away before her wedding day, so her sweet brother walked her down the aisle. The ceremony altar and aisles were adorned with bundles and bundles of baby’s breath — so simple and clean.
The modern, edgy, and eclectic design, coupled with the lush garden landscapes gave their wedding an upscale, modern and clean feel and look. Ocean Flowers by Guerdy provided the pops of color the green lawn needed with gorgeous orchids, peonies, garden roses, and hydrangeas. Willy and his family hail from Peru, so the signature cocktail served was a Peruvian Pisco Sour, and the favors were gorgeous, wood-wrapped Nuestra sodas monogrammed with Amanda and Willy’s names. Chevron print made an appearance in some of the picture frame quotes (quotes from everyone from Elvis to Coco Chanel) and was also the background of the board with table names and numbers. Purple was the main color of choice, showing up beautifully in the bouquets and table decor.
Amanda + Willy opted for a laid back reception with no real agenda, allowing for great flow and relaxing fellowship with their guests, who had all traveled from literally around the world to be there with them and celebrate this special day.
