Every now and then we get our hands on a wedding so breathtaking, so pick-your-jaw-up-off-the-floor beautiful, we can hardly believe our luck. After all, we take pride in finding the prettiest of pretty fetes to fill your days with – weddings that push the definition of gorgeous and capture the spirit of the readers we know and love. And although I fall hopelessly in love nearly every hour on SMP, I’m not sure I’ve ever fallen quite as hard as I have with today’s stunner. The kind of wedding that will literally leave you speechless. In that royal wedding cranked up a few notches kind of way. With gallery-worthy photography by Elizabeth Messina, florals by Mark’s Garden, decor by Revelry Event Design and planning by the lovely Mindy Weiss, this celebration is the reason that I am obsessed with my job. And with weddings in general.

















I KNOW. It’s huge. Like, I-hope-my-wedding-re-do-is-half-this-lovely huge. Half this personal. Half this warm and rich and full of texture and joy.

The wedding was held at the Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyards, a stunning, rustic but fabulous vineyard in Malibu, California. With 360 degree views of the mountains and the California coastline. For the bride, the day began with some serious R&R – a pilates class, followed by breakfast, manis and massages with the girls. Which means that not only am I a little jealous of the stunning day, I’m also seriously wishing I was a bridesmaid and got to join in on the fun. The boys, getting ready a few doors down, found their zen through a bit of football and a game or two of pool. In classic dude style.

The bride wore a custom made gown designed and made by The Row, Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen’s designer line. A one-time only custom dress made especially for the bride. The maids wore gowns by Kirstie Kelly and David August crafted the boy’s tuxes.

As for the ceremony, here’s a little note from Mindy Weiss, our friend and the lovely, lovely celebrity planner behind the day…The couple exchanged their vows on an empty dirt field that we made into a beautiful garden under a man made pepper tree that was adorned with hanging orchids and trimmed with white and cream roses. The aisle we built and stained from reclaimed wood. The guests were offered fresh lemonade in glass bottles wrapped in kraft paper with their initials handstamped!
