From Rosemary of Rosemary Special Events… From the first phone call I had with Britt, we just hit it off. She is warm, personable and so down to earth. She and Peter wanted to marry in Napa Valley, a place they had vacationed in their first year together. Within a few weeks, we were touring the wine country and planning their intimate wedding weekend for 80 guest in the Napa Valley. It’s always a good sign for me when a couple places a high priority on the experience of their guests. Britt and Peter were so gracious and made sure there were plenty of opportunities for guests to enjoy themselves while they were there for the wedding.
When guests checked in on the weekend, they found hang tags on their doors with a note from the couple and details about the weekend. Peter’s family treated everyone to a welcome party on Friday night in the garden at Maisonry Wine Collective, a beautiful historic stone building in Yountville that represents limited production wines and houses a beautiful collection of furnishings and artwork.
Everyone was greeted with champagne when they arrived. They mingled, looked at a gallery of photos chronicling the couple’s lives and sampled delicious hors d’oeuvres. They also got into the spirit of the region and tasted Maisonry’s limited production wines. A family style Tuscan style feast from Bella Terra Catering was the perfect representation of Peter’s Italian heritage. Guests enjoyed it and the beautiful night seated at long Kings tables in the courtyard. The evening was elegant but relaxed; the perfect introduction to Napa Valley style.
