Valentine’s Day is of course all about the love but in our eyes, it’s also about the sweets. Chocolates, cake, macarons…we’ll take it all but it does help when these sweets are whipped up to heart-palpitating perfection by a Confectionery Goddess like Melody Brandon of Sweet and Saucy Shop. She teamed up with Carlie of Gabriel Ryan Photography and Found Vintage Rentals for a dessert display that is almost, ALMOST too pretty to eat. A pink ombre cake? Ahhh - so tough...but in the end I have to go with Red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. We were debating this as a wedding cake flavor and didn't end up going with it (thinking it wouldn't please the masses) - i totally regret not going with it!

Oh my! They are look amazing. Because there are way to many that I love, I'll break it up by season. Spring...I'm all about the Vanilla buttermilk cake with lemon cream, fresh raspberries, and lemon cream cheese frosting. Summer...definitely Coconut cake with passion fruit (or lemon cream) filling and coconut cream cheese frosting. Fall...hands down Pumpkin cake with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and salted carmel!!!! And winter...Give me the Chocolate cake with salted caramel sauce and chocolate ganache filling (reminds me of a warm salted carmel hot coco).

It has to be the vanilla buttermilk cake, caramel and peanut butter filling, and chocolate ganache frosting! Caramel is my favorite and peanut butter is my fiance's, I've never seen the combination and need to try it immediately! Adding both the vanilla and chocolate to it makes it a perfect package!

The favorite flavor has to be the chocolate cake with whipped cream, chocolate ganache and raspberries (or strawberries?). Been married over 17 years and it was our wedding cake-everyone raved about it. ( With fresh raspberries!) (The top tier froze well for a year too, and was yummy on our 1st anniversary). The whipped cream is a wonderful contrast to the richness of the ganache and the raspberries and chocolate together-------wow, classic and fabulous mix of tastes and textures. Reminiscent of coming home to fresh baked chocolate cookies, a tall glass of milk with a bowl of fresh berries. Happy Heart Day!

I am really torn, both the chocolate with whipped cream, chocolate ganache, and fresh strawberries or the Chocolate cake with a layer of chocolate ganache and peanut butter frosting sound sooo good, but if I really had to choose, I would probably go with the one with strawberry!

I would love the sweet almond cake with lemon cream filling and lemon cream cheese frosting. I wanted almond cake and lemon curd filling for our wedding cake, but compromised with my fiance and went with lemon + lemon (still amazing).

Love Sweet & Saucy Shop and those ombre cakes! So many flavors looked mouth watering...but Vanilla buttermilk cake with lemon cream, fresh raspberries, and lemon cream cheese frosting would be my choice! Also really love the buffet piece the cakes are displayed on...very pretty!
