I think we need to coin a new wedding word that means the perfect combination of classic and adorable because, whatever that locution might be, it certainly defines this Savannah celebration from First City Events. It possesses the grace and elegance of a luxuriously timeless affair without feeling outdated or too formal. The pops of purple and sweetly designed personal details bring a lighthearted flavor to the sophisticated soiree and Nichole Barrali Photography's images are delightful in every way. From Bonnie of First City Events... Jessica & Scott held their winter wedding at the Charles H. Morris Center in Savannah, Georgia. Inside the ceremony tent, we draped the back wall with flowing white fabric from ceiling to floor and added a custom monogrammed runner, candles and florals to round out the look. Instead of a sand ceremony or unity candle, the bride and groom used roses. Each mom placed a rose in a vase at the alter as they were escorted to their seats. When it was time, the bride and groom joined the roses all into one vase. Another special touch was having the close family pray around them at the beginning of the service.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the patio and were then invited into the banquet room. A custom seating chart was created to mimic the squares Savannah is so famous for. Tables were put in a U-shape and were labeled by the coordinating squares. Girl scout cookies (another thing Savannah is famous for) were tucked in sweet boxes and tied with ribbon, a silver heart and a place card. Since the couple was going with a purple and green theme they choose Thin Mints and Samoas — yum! Guests enjoyed an organic feast and festive dancing. As always, the end came so quickly. Jessica and Matt rode off in a white horse and carriage to enjoy their happily ever after.
