Santa Barbara Wedding by Desi Baytan Photography

Does it get any better than classic elegance in Santa Barbara?  When you add dreamy and dazzling images from Desi Baytan Photography into the mix you get pretty close to perfection in my book.  Smitten doesn’t even began to describe how I feel when I gaze at the creamy garden roses, gold scalloped china and the sweetest of details tucked into every corner.  It is pure romance through and through and I’ve found myself quite enamored.  See it all in the full gallery!

From Desi of Desi Baytan PhotographyAn honor as always to work with Katy Carrier again on this most gorgeous wedding. Along with Erica Espana, they made this wedding absolutely elegant, chic, and stylish. The wedding of Lisa and Alan Jackson took place at the Santa Barbara Courthouse Mural Room and reception at the Montecito Country Club. A palette of aqua and yellow and a sundry of scrumptious ornamental designs drizzled all over makes this wedding like an inviting luscious dessert. How apropos it was for two prosecutors to tie the knot at the famous Mural Room of Santa Barbara’s historic courthouse. Its ornate cathedral-like ceiling and gold leafing makes for a historical ceremonial place. Next we go to the Montecito Country Club for a dazzling reception room with elegant chandeliers, distressed floors and with an amazing view of the vast acreage of the club. The escort cards display was not only original but ornate and each card was hand written by calligrapher Bonnie Nelson.

At the head table is a display of opulence. The arrangement from the florals and elegant jeweled candle holders complements the symmetric shape of the banquet hall. All this is not only a feast for the eyes, but for your sense of touch as well. Notice the aqua linen table cover’s lovely paisley pattern? Brought to you by La Tavola Linens.  All is accentuated by light yellow floral arrangements by Cody Floral Design that is balanced and not over powering. Katy, along with Erica, made this lovely affair a night to remember.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments. And to Desi and Connie for creating such beautiful memories of our special day and Katy and her team for making it all come together. Wish we could do it all over again!
As far as your questions...my dress was from "Blue" by Enzoani. The original had lace straps but we removed them and did some tweaking. My best friend and maid of honor wore a gown by Nicole Miller and my matron of honor (my beautiful sister) wore a gown by Laundry. It was a total coincidence that the dresses looked alike - it was never intended. We didn't want to stick to our color palette and I gave them the freedom to pick their own gowns - subject to my nod of approval, of course - and they were purchased 4 months apart. You just can't plan something like that!

Hi Lisa! YOur wedding was beautiful and I absolutely love your wedding invitations! Did you design them yourself or did you find them at a specific stationary store/website? If it is the latter, would you mind providing the source? Thank you!

[...] Happy New Year All!! We return to the daily grind with today’s Style Me Pretty wedding. We’re swooning over the classic sophistication and traditional style of the bride and groom. What we love most is the simple elegance of this gorgeous day at the Montecito Country Club. Reminds us that there doesn’t always need to be a whole lot of hoopla (even though we like that too!), style and charm is what wins the day in our book.  Desi Bayton Photography did a tremendous job with their unique, yet classic, photos, however the real gem is the videography by New Classic Films.  Their video is a MUST WATCH! See the video, full story, and gallery HERE. [...]
