This gorgeous fete, with so many beautiful elements, has captured my heart and I literally haven’t been able to stop smiling since I spotted these pretty images by Michael Simon Wedding Photography days ago. From the bride…After twelve years together Gary surprised me by proposing late one night in our apartment after yoga class, and I happily said yes! A truly loving and generous person, Gary has a passion for life and easy happiness that inspire me every day; I feel fortunate to share my life with him, it was the easiest decision. Until this moment, we spent our years together developing our individuality and we reached the point where that focus could shift. We loved each other, we knew it worked, and now we just wanted to party! When we started planning what our wedding day would be like, most of all, we were excited to have a fun celebration with our closest friends and family.
I wanted the wedding to be simply elegant and close to nature and when we found Natirar, that was all the inspiration I needed. Set in beautiful countryside, the Mansion at Natirar, with its antique charm and grand sensibility, left nothing to be desired; it also happens to be 15 minutes from where I grew up. We decided to let the mansion do the heavy lifting, working with the lighting and floral designer to create a minimal and laid back atmosphere. Nicolette Camille did an amazing job of using candlelight throughout, maximizing the mansion details. I loved her wild and not “buttoned-up” floral design. While we went with a black tie affair, we made sure that the evening still felt easy-going. We tried not to worry about fussy details and focused on creating a minimal space where people could let loose and dance like no was watching.
