From the Bride…From the beginning, Luke and I knew we wanted to get married outdoors….we wanted mountains, oak trees, and the ocean all in one. The Orella Ranch located in beautiful Santa Barbara was the perfect location to meet all our wishes.

We envisioned a chic country wedding with rustic and vintage touches. Inspirations for the day were the magnificent oak trees at Orella Ranch and the expression ‘Lucky in Love’ that inspired the use of horseshoes throughout the wedding. It was important to us to have a casual and relaxed atmosphere; from our attire to the BBQ food to the Adirondack chairs and horseshoe games at the appetizer hour.

All of the floral arrangements were done by family and friends. A friend of the family went down to the Los Angeles Flower District to purchase all the flowers. I wanted the flowers to look natural and simple; keeping them all white with green foliage. All the bouquets were made to resemble freshly picked flowers from a garden. They were naturally wrapped in burlap and pinned.

It was a completely DIY wedding; we sewed all the napkins from vintage tablecloths, hand painted and made all the signs and table numbers from old boards of wood, hand stitched and cut the burlap banners. Most of the decorative items at the wedding were from my future mother in-law’s house or found at garage sales.

It was an unbelievable experience to see our vision and hard work come to life! The day was perfect, our guests had a great time, and most importantly, we’re now husband & wife. We are truly ‘Lucky In Love’.
