Anyone who knows me knows that I love sweets especially cakes. So when I saw these colorfully frosted pastries all lined up in a row I fell into a sugar-induced state of happiness. The rest of this sweet, pastel-hued Carpinteria wedding by Erika Anne Photography is equally as lovely. From Erika Anne Photography…Cassandra and Anthony are one of the most stunning couples I have encountered. They move and interact together with a subtle grace that shone through on their wedding day. The wedding and reception were both held at Lion’s Park in Carpinteria, CA. A perfect location for the couple who met in Santa Barbara, a short jaunt north of Carpinteria. The lodge is rustic and simple, as are the grounds, with a pretty gazebo and groupings of beautiful, large trees. The lodge was decorated with many handmade touches by the bride and friends and family of them both.
From the Bride…Anthony and I originally met through a mutual friend, and although there was an immediate connection, the timing wasn’t right. About a year later, Anthony (who is a photographer) needed a model for a school project and ended up contacting me. Though we hadn’t talked much over that past year, I happily agreed. The instant we started working, the spark returned. This time around, the timing was right and we have been inseparable ever since!
We didn’t have a particular theme for our wedding; the best way to describe it was rustic-y, with a lot of personal, handmade touches. I was so grateful for the family and friends who helped to make our day what it was. They ended up fulfilling my vision to a T! It was elegant, without being too formal. I wanted our guests to feel like it was a special day for them as well which is why I included all the little handmade details. It was so great having everyone there to show their love and support for us, and it will definitely be a day we will never forget!
