Al fresco nuptials run the gamut in terms of style. We are talking everything from rustic country fêtes to elegant New England garden affairs and a new group that is quickly making its way to the top of our favorites list: open air dining of the urban garden variety like this Los Angeles number held at Cafe PinotBenj Haisch Photography captured all the festivities laced with a layer of ultra pretty details and the result is cool dinner party meets elegant city wedding. We dig it and we think you will too. Hop on over to the gallery for so much more.

From the Bride…From the beginning, I knew I wanted our wedding to be as personal and unique to us as much as possible. When we found our wedding venue at Cafe Pinot & the Maguire Gardens, I was flooded with inspirations. Being set in front of the historic Los Angeles Public Library, I knew I wanted to tell Our Story by playing with the library and book themes for our invitations and favors. The juxtaposition of an intimate private garden and the beautiful cafe, surrounded by the stoic skyscrapers of downtown felt strong and feminine at the same time – just like Ron and I. It was the perfect balance of charm and strength which inspired me to decorate our wedding in a way which was soft yet confident.. exuding a sense of sweet, modern romance.

All in all, our wedding day was truly a dream come true for us. My advice to all future brides during the planning phase, is to go with your gut feeling, and always have the confidence to be creative! Don’t do or buy things just for the sake of doing it or because everyone else is. Make sure it’s something that has meaning to you as a couple, that will bring you joy on your big day. On the day of your wedding, just go with the flow and have fun! Savor every minute of it… and enjoy the ride.

I love the idea of "framing" the cake! As popular as the use of frames are in weddings, I haven't seen it done like that. So cute!
