Hazelnut Photography has completely made our day with this ode to vintage. It’s about as bright and cheerful as they come and filled with enough pretty flowers by Greenwich Floral to make any lover of Fall colors swoon. Then there are all the fun details: yarn wrapped letters, sassy heels, a vintage truck passed down from the Groom’s grandfather. Combined, these make for one smashing display of nuptials and we are happy as clams to get to spend our “workday” devouring every inch. Join us in the gallery for more.

From Hazelnut Photography…Jenn & Mike are the kind of people that you want to hug super hard and then put in your pocket so you’ll always have them with you. They are absolutely effervescent. They are sweet, they are kind and they are head over heels in love with each other. I have been looking forward to shooting Mike & Jenns’ wedding from her very first email to me.
I knew it would be extremely personal, and full of so much joy. Mike & Jenn are nature enthusiasts, their first date was a lake trip and they planned their wedding so that the anniversary would always fall on their big annual camping trip. So they wanted to be married, surrounded by mountains and nature. Maravilla Gardens lent the perfect backdrop. I knew that Jenn would want to incorporate as much of their personalities into the wedding as possible. My favorite personal touch, Mikes’ 1952 Chevy pickup. It was his grandfathers, bought fresh off the lot and driven across the country to Southern California in the early 1950s. Mike, his father and his brother have meticulously restored it and it made the perfect personal prop for our portrait session! Mike is a firefighter, so donations were made to the Los Angeles Widows, Orphans and Disabled Firemans’ Fund in lieu of favors. Jenn is a teacher, so centerpieces included red apples.
It was a sweet & intimate affair, perfectly tuned to Mike & Jenns’ personalities. I’m so happy to share it with you!

Jenn, I knew you were going to have yourself a beautiful day! I am so excited to see your photos. You were gorgeous, your groom super handsome, and your wedding looks spectacular! Love every single detail, especially those table numbers! Many congrats! xx
Everything is so beautiful!! Who makes the bride's dress? AND the bride's shoes are fabulous!! Who makes them as well??????????
Gorgeous, charming and sweet - yes, but most importantly: WHERE DO WE GET THOSE SHOES!!?!! :D
My wedding dress looks very similar to this one... What kind of bra was used if any at all?
What a BEAUTIFUL day! Looks like everyone here wants to know everything about how it got that way -- myself included. WHERE OH WHERE did you get those lovely robes?
The dress is gorgeous. Who is the designer? Any details would be much appreciated.
I am simply desperate to hear where those shoes are from...
Working on getting the dress and shoes answers ladies. We'll keep you updated. i believe the robes are from Plum Pretty Sugar. http://plumprettysugar.com/
I believe the shoes are by Seychelles (http://www.zappos.com/seychelles-i-do-white )
So many sweet details to love about this wedding! The bride's shoes are to die for - in fact, the entire bridal party has some pretty awesome footwear!
Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for the unbelievably kind comments! Our day truly was perfect and I am MORE than happy to share all of the deets!!
The shoes are in fact by Seychelles and they're called the "I Do Pump" - quite appropriate if you ask me!
My dress is a Marisa gown (style 754). It was the most comfortable dress I could have possibly imagined! I even told my husband that there may be days where he comes home and I'll be hanging out in it - yes, it's THAT comfy!
The robes are Plum Pretty Sugar. My girls loved them! And I wear mine all the time!
Thanks again everyone! I'll check back again to answer any more questions!!
xoxo!
I absolutely adore this wedding and am so happy you were able to share it with your readers! Thank you... it looks stunning!
The apples in the florals are such a cute touch!
I love the table numbers and would love to know more about how they were made!
I love the bridesmaids dresses! Would love to know where they are from. They do look like different style but if you are able to share that would be great!
Jordana - you are a goddess and genius!
The table numbers were actually really easy to make but crazy difficult to explain how! I'm going to try making a video showing how I made them and I'll be more than happy to email it to you or post the link here :o)
I was so happy with all of the bridesmaid dresses. I simply told my friends to find a dress in the champagne/nude/rose color family - and this is what they came up with! They're awesome! The dresses came from a variety of places (JCrew, BCBG, Macy's, H & M, and Delia's).
xo
I fell in love with the Marisa 754 and unfortunately could not afford to buy it, but Jenn, it looks amazing on you! The wedding was beautiful and I'm adding this to my list of inspiring weddings! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful shoes~I love it when I see right now!So sweet~
Oh Jenn, it's so great to see everything come together! The two of you look absolutely adorable and in love - the warmth is palpable! Hugs and congratulations, Darling!!!
Gorgeous wedding. I love the colors and the use of yarn.
I just blogged about my invites, custom wedding crossword puzzles and programs. Go check it out: http://oliveobserver.blogspot.com/2011/11/storytimesaturday-wedding-invites.html
so sweet! love your invitations - can i ask what font was used? thanks!
The invitations are from Magpie Paper Works (shop.magpiepaperworks.com). Jess is a creative genius and was so much fun to work with! (Thanks for everything Jess!!!)
The font is Trihart. You can purchase it for about $25.
I attempted to make a video of the table numbers, but my technological incompetence isn't helping, so I'll try to explain how to make the yarn & nail table numbers:
1. Print out the numbers you need for templates. I used a standard American Typewriter font in about size 500
2. Cut a 1 x 6 piece of wood a tad bigger than the numbers. Sand the edges & stain the wood to your preferred color (I used Miniwax Dark Walnut)
3. Cut the numbers out & lightly hammer in holes for the nails. I hammered out the pattern for each number and then went back and hit nails in all the way
4. Take the yarn of your choice and tie it tightly around one nail. Wrap an outline around the number in the yarn 2 times to create a base outline
5. Wrap the yarn around the nails randomly. Every number comes out so uniquely different! When you feel like you've filled the number in, wrap the outline of the number around the top (just like you did on the bottom) and tie off the yarn - Voila! You've got yourself a yarn number!
You can do it for any shape and even letters. They are so fun :o) I'm using them for home decor now!
xoxo
So many creative details, my favorite is the finger print framed picture! The fall color palette is gorgeous! I especially love the touch of apples throughout the wedding centerpieces. Congratulations to the gorgeous couple!
Wow thats planning . . . great work on the details indeed and the photos are just fantastic what a great day . . . besides the suspenders with belts it looked like it was a perfect day!
gay and ugly :)
Did you happen to dye the shoes? On the site they look white and yours look off-white, although that could just be the lighting. I'm thinking about them for my own wedding and my dress is off-white. :) :)
Hi Abigail! I just so happened to come see if there were any other comments I didn't answer and here you are! The shoes are definitely off-white - no dying necessary! My dress was ivory as well & the shoes worked great with it!
Good luck!
