Cleveland Wish Upon a Wedding by Corey Ann Photography

What makes a wedding truly beautiful? Is it the picture perfect details, crafted with care by the bride and her maids? Is it the vows that come together into seemingly one piece of music? Is it the flowers or the food or the fun had dancing the night away? Yes, it’s all that. But when push comes to shove, the most beautiful part of a wedding is that when all stripped down and naked, it’s two people promising to love each other forever and ever. When we received this wedding, the beauty was obvious. The bride is glowy and gorgeous, the groom completely smitten. The flowers, the color palette, the perfect touches threaded through every last moment all made our hearts happy. But that wasn’t even half of the story.

From the photographer, Corey Ann… This wedding was a wish granted by Wish Upon a Wedding to Jon and Alyssa.  Jon has terminal brain cancer and doesn’t have much longer to live and his dying wish was to marry his soulmate, Alyssa.  The entire wedding was beautiful thanks to amazing donations from the talented group of vendors. Alyssa’s gown inspired the wedding design and the result was flawless.

We are so touched that Jon and Alyssa chose Style Me Pretty to share this with the world. It’s days like this one that remind us of just how important the heart of a wedding really is. The core, at it’s very purest form, is all about love. And love is the very first thing I saw when I opened this beautiful affair. Congratulations to Jon and Alyssa.    Thank you everyone for your lovely words. This wedding was such an honor to shoot and to witness. It was by far the most touching ceremony I've ever seen and all of us vendors were tearing up along with the guests. This wedding reminded me that, in the famous works of the Beatles, "All You Need is Love" the rest, was just details.

    This is so beautiful and touching! I am planning a wedding, going to school and working full time. I have been pretty negative lately about wedding plans and all the details. These pictures and this story put it all into perspective. The couple has so much love in their eyes and that's the most wonderful thing about weddings. I will be thinking about their inspiration for the next few months and on our wedding day!

    Such a moving story and lovely photos. What caught my eye was the story that Jon has terminal brain cancer. There may indeed be nothing further; however, I work for Cancer Research UK as well. Part of this amazing organisation is the testing of new drugs, therapies and combinations. Not all medical people are totally up to date with what is being tested. Can I suggest calling 0207 242 0200 and speaking to the cancer nurses? If there is anything out there, they will know.

    Have you heard of dr berzinski? He is doing cancer treatment in clinical trial that have amazing results. Your dr and your hospital won't tell you about him.

    I am a wedding hair and makeup artist and I believe this is so romantic. The hair soft and with a beautiful flow is what I like to do. Plus, it really compliments her wedding dress. My brides love this kind of look, romantic, this is what a wedding day is all about!
