It took everything in my being to pry my eyes away from this morning’s gorgeous Elizabeth Fillmore gown, but pry I did and found a delightfully glamorous affair before me. It’s one of those classic beauties with hints of the couple’s Southern roots and a million images by Kristy Dickerson Photography that are as timeless as they are beautiful. The dock images alone are enough to send this blogger into wedding heaven and I’ve already mentioned my all out love affair with the dress. This is indeed a fairytale straight out of Mississippi. Hightail it over to the gallery for even more.

From Kristy Dickerson Photography… The wedding ceremony took place at a small church in downtown Ocean Springs, Mississippi and the reception took place at her grandparent’s estate. Both grandparents recently passed away before the wedding. The bride’s mother grew up on the property and the bride remembers going to the home to gather with family for the holidays. The bride got ready in her grandparents old room. It was filled with their gorgeous furniture, her grandma’s old perfume, and family pictures. The home is amazing and is located right on the bay in Ocean Springs. The home was filled with family pictures, wedding pictures, etc.. Guests could walk around inside the home to see all of this.
The bride wore an Elizabeth Fillmore gown and her veil was her mother’s that was originally from Italy and was handmade. The reception was located in the backyard overlooking the water. It was decorated with a vintage feel of soft yellows/soft purples, old oak trees, bird cages, wood/bark, and the list just goes on. Once the reception got going and night fell, they had about a 10 minute prelude of fireworks over the water coming from the dock.

How wonderful to see our work on this site. This was an incredibly fun and inspiring location and family. The floral attribution is wrong. Jon Davis, the former owner of Avid Companies is very much not retired. Jon moved to New Jersey last September in order to join forces with me, Ted Lange, at Chesterfield Floral Co. in Chesterfield NJ. We did this event together. The very talented Sybil Sylvester and Sarah Emma Hall were also part of the design team for this event under Jon's direction. Still, very nice to see these lovely photographs (and family!) again..
Best regards,
Ted Lange

love the presentation of the signature drink! I'd love to know what it is :)
Kate.. The signature drink was a "Bee's Knees" cocktail, thus the bee skep in the background.. All Ginger Ann's mom's doing. Delicious! http://blogs.laweekly.com/squidink/2009/07/bees_knees_cocktail_1920s_hone.php
