I’ve never been to the Outer Banks in North Carolina, but after seeing these beyond gorgeous images from Morrissey Photo, I’m convinced that I need to put that at the top of my places I need to go to list asap. This beachy fete is the perfect balance of elegance and casual and there are so many details that are just too sweet not to mention. Like the starfish favor and seat assignment that doubles as a Christmas tree ornament, the deliciously pretty signature martinis, and the bunches upon bunches of gorgeous white blooms. If you love the beach and long for those sunny days or you’re having a beach wedding of your own, you don’t wanna miss out on what’s waiting for you in the full gallery!

From the Bride…Matt & I met each other in high school and were mostly acquaintances with one thing in common: the same birthday! I tracked Matt down ten years after high school, only to fall madly in love with him at first sight!
We chose the The Sanderling Inn in Duck, North Carolina for our wedding because we both have a love for all things beachy; warm weather, sand, sun and more. My family and I grew up vacationing in the Outer Banks, and I introduced Matt to OBX shortly after we started dating.
Our ceremony was on the Beach Deck with beautiful dunes of beach grass and sand in the background. I wanted a simple elegance for the ceremony and Sugar Snap Events helped me add those little touches. Matt and the wedding party processed from the hotel, and I surprised guests by processing from the beach! It was an amazing entrance recommended by our fantastic wedding coordinator at the Sanderling Inn.
Our guests enjoyed cocktail hour with our specialty drink of the night, “Alle-tini’s.” We were dubbed “celebrity super-couple, The Alle-tini’s (Allen & Morettini),” after our engagement in Napa Valley by our close California friends! So, we thought it only fitting to concoct a drink with some of our favorite ingredients, champagne and peach puree!
The Soundside Pavilion provided an amazing escape to an ideal beach wedding. Sugar Snap Event brought my ideas and visions to life with white garden roses, white spider mums and garland as my table centerpieces, which Morrissey Photo did an amazing job of capturing! We kept a crisp white look throughout the tent, and as the sun set, the candles and twinkle lights on the gazebo created an elegant ambiance to finish out the night!

She has pockets in her dress... that is so cool!
love the "L O V E" mugs!!
love this wedding! Where did she find that box for "cards" been looking for something like that!
LOVE that table runner! The green leaves look amazing with the basic white table to contrast! And the pockets in her dress are so cute (and useful!) :)
Congrats Meghan!! I was just looking up inspiration for my wedding in May and your photos were the first I saw! Beautiful wedding and you look great!
How perfectly beach-y wedding! Done to the smallest detail!
So fresh and lovely!
I got married in the Outer Banks, such an amazing place!
Thank you for the sweet words!
Jordan - the box was found at a little beach shop in the outer banks! It is an old labster/crab trap.
Nothing like being near the water for a wedding!!
I love the way the photography gets all the little details you spend so much time on. I love Morrissey Photo. They are wonderful.
Bride- Any interest in saling that box or the parasols used? Also- how was it walking on the beach in those darling shoes? Hard with the sand? Last thing- I love your idea of the starsfish as an ornament- where did you find those?? THANKS SO MUCH!!
No problem, Jordan! I'm actually not selling the box, but try etsy.com or ebay. The parasol belonged to the hotel. And I took my shoes off to walk on the beach!!
Starfish - I just googled starfish and bought them in bulk. They are super cheap. Then I glued the ornament string on them, tied the placecards on with raffia.
I loooove the garland as part of the centerpieces- lovely!
Did you make the garlands? Do you mind telling me the materials and approximately how much it cost?
HI!!
I've been looking for similar "M's". Where did you find them? If you found them on etsy, will you provide the sellers name?
thanks so much! congrats!
i love it... i got a lot of great ideas to recommend my brides. i love the pix. clean and fresh just like my style.
LOVE those seashell place cards!
Simple lily displays are also really great for beach weddings!
Nikki - I ordered the garland thru my florist. It is bay or lemon leaf garland
Melissa - the M's are from My Primitive Boutique. You can click on their hyperlink above where is says M&M Monogram.
Thank you so much for getting back so fast!
Simply perfect!!
BEAUTIFUL!! What time of year was your wedding? Love the OBX but so worried about weather when considering a wedding there!
