Despite the rain, this adorable orchard wedding by Amanda Nicole Photography is so bright and cheerful! Maybe it’s the candy apple red bridesmaids dresses, the vibrant wildflower centerpieces, the thousand handmade paper cranes or the beaming grins on the happy bride and groom. Whatever it is the result is nothing but pure happiness and sweet, pretty-as-can-be homemade style. Check out all the details in the full gallery!

From Amanda Nichole Photography…One of the design themes of the wedding was a paper crane that I’m told symbolizes peace and that if you fold 1000 of them you will receive your wish. I’m not sure how many cranes Leah folded for the big day but hopefully I’m doing my part to make her wish come true by submitting her wedding to the blog.
Leah and Jess were married in May at the Minnetonka Orchards. It had been a rainy week and had promised to be a rainy day so the ceremony was moved inside of a tent where Leah was quick to find amazing places to hang the paper cranes that she had carefully crafted herself. Leah also wore a beautiful crane necklace that matched with the theme of the wedding. I loved all of the details from the apples running alongside the aisle to the colorful poofs throughout the tent.
The best part of the entire day though was the fact that the bride and groom were not afraid to go out into the rain and muck to capture some amazing shots. Leah had thought before hand to have some practical clear umbrellas for the bridesmaids as well as a pretty, pink umbrella for herself. The ceremony was simple and elegant and was followed by a relaxed and fun pig roast. They had a non-traditional wedding dessert, many different types of cheesecake with different toppings. The day was all about friends and family including the conclusion with a bonfire and s’mores to end the evening.

Lovely pictures! Where are the bridesmaids dresses from? We're thinking of that color for our wedding!
What a beautiful wedding! I love this idea, the bouquet is gorgeous and table decorations are fab, very stylish and pretty!
These pictures are just as amazing, as is the very simple and colorful theme! Just stunning.
Where is her dress from? It's gorgeous.
Great use of apples, fun touch
Great photography! Love the flowers by Ashley!
This wedding makes mine look like a hospital visit. I am so jealous right now I might divorce my husband just so we can get married again and recreate this event.
Thank you for all the lovely comments! My dress is a Robert Bullock gown called Jessica (purchased at Che Bella in St. Paul, MN), and the bridesmaid dresses are from David's Bridal in the color Apple. I can't thank Ashley enough for her wonderful designs, and Amanda for her amazing photos!
Great photos Amanda, Congrats! :)
The tables are beautiful. How special the guests must have felt with all the homemade touches by the Bride. I love the idea of the S'mores at the end of the evening. A wedding I am sure all the guests will always remember. The Brides dress is beautiful and the photographer captured their joyous day beautifully.
Wow what beautiful pics loved the table setting and etc photographer did a great job of capturing the day.
Cool pics, looks like a pretty wedding.
The colors in the pics are so vibrant and amazing! So many unique ideas for the pics...the shoes up against the black & white floor, the menus and the outhouse...who would have thought a pic of an outhouse would be so good?! The ideas behind this wedding were amazing but the photographer eye captured it all beautifully. I'm always looking for a good photographer...I want to see more!
I loved the bride's choice of colors......reds and white. They looked so vibrant in these photos!
Nice location and loved that the weather didn't hinder the couple from enjoying their day. Beautiful wedding.
I love the maidenhair fern in with the dahlias and scabiosa - it looks so fresh with the bright colors!
This wedding looks absolutely beautiful! I cannot even imagine all the work that it took to put this all together but it def. paid off! The photos are also amazing and did a great job capturing all the detail, emotion and atmosphere of the day! I love it!
Wow - what a beautiful couple. I love how the photographer did a great job embracing the rainy day instead of keeping all the pictures under the tent, and I think it really made for some unique wedding photos for the couple.
