Sonoma weddings are gorgeous. We get it. The crazy beautiful backdrops, the organic and yet totally elegant vibes, the effortlessly stunning brides and the laid back but forever timeless wedding styles. All lovely in that “well, here’s to hoping my wedding will be quite that gorg” kind of way. So what happens when you infuse your standard Sonoma beauty with real, tangible touches that would be stunning whether placed on tables in a backyard fete or in a perfectly pretty ballroom. In Austin or in Boston. With a hearty, anything goes budget or with a more modest fare. This wedding, crafted to utter loveliness by Bliss Event Productions is one of those weddings. Where the versatile beauty is tucked perfectly into each and every detail. Igniting what we’re sure will be a total pinning frenzie. And don’t even get me started on the invites and paper goodies by Brown Sugar Design. Click here to see even more.

From Bliss Event Productions…Jess and Tim first contacted me last year after they had decided to host their wedding at the gorgeous Cornerstone Sonoma property. Jess conveyed to me that she wanted a soft and sweet vintage feel that still incorporated a wine country flavor. Tim has a background in architecture and wanted to incorporate a more modern look with clean lines. I wanted to come up with a design that gave them both what they wanted.
We began with a color palette. Our main color schemes were a light fog grey and a silvery blue green julep balanced with white. We decided our punches of added color, greens, pinks and corals, would come in from the floral and small detail items. Kate from Flower Wild put together an inspiration board that blew us away. Jess loved cloche and bell jars and terrariums along with incorporating wood and moss and Kate’s floral design was perfection. In selecting decor and rentals, we kept the focal pieces and large items in white, such as the china and lounges, and added color in the details items like linens, napkins and pillows. The floral vignettes for the accent tables also brought in added pops of beautiful living color. To meet Tim’s want of modern, we kept all tables and bars in the barn reception area square wood and absent of linens, on linear lines. Jess also wanted to bring in a bit of her cultural heritage and we accomplished this with Got Light? designing a focal area of varying sized Chinese lanterns hung at different lengths over the dance floor area.
One of the most stunning details of the wedding, was the escort card table created by Flower Wild. We used an 8′ wood table and completely covered it in wood and moss elements then added in cloches, bell jars and terrariums filled with floral. Kate added in beautiful succulents and we placed escort cards throughout the table. It really was a very unique and gorgeous focal piece… one of my all time favorites! The wedding cake was another stunning creation done by Sweet On Cake. The tiered cake featured molded chocolate leafing bringing in more added color. The cake sat on a custom designed glass terrarium filled with floral and moss. Carlie Statsky captured the sheer beauty of the day starting with the lovely couple down to the details. Overall it was a great mix of details that personified Jess and Tim’s visions and personalities. A super sweet and soft wedding for a modern and sweet couple!

I love the dress!!! Who is the Designer?
Thank you for all the lovely responses! :)
To answer some of your questions, the fans were done by the lovely Tiffany Chin of www.tiffy.org and the invitations were done by the awesome duo that are Whitney and Jonathan of www.bsdstudio.com. The mercury glass was from our florist, Flower Wild. The dress is by Junko Yoshioka and the groomsmen suits are from Indochino.
One more thing I forgot to include, the bridesmaid dresses are the Arabelle from J.Crew and were a color from Spring. They do change their colors depending on the season. Hope that helps!
Is it the Pink Amethyst? Those are the ones i'm looking for my wedding.. but they only had a few sizes left.

Shoes are from Vivienne Westwood and terrariums were from our florist
Absolutely stunning! I want to use shades of plum and silver for my October wedding and wondered how to have a more neutral versus "purple" effect. The colors you picked could not have been more perfect. I hope to use these photos for inspiration and perhaps have darker charcoal suits with the deeper plums incorporated into shoes and flowers. Also, I love the use of succulent plants ... we just moved to Arizona and wanted to incorporate a bit of our new home into our vintage style Rhode Island venue.
Any ideas to make this more appropriate for a new england fall wedding greatly appreciated!
Wish you would use more local photos. That does not include myself but Rebecca Gosselin, Doug Thompson or Megan Closeces to mind. Nice job btw.
